Former Hearts of Oak striker and playmaker Joseph Esso is reportedly heading towards Dreams Fc despite earlier pre-negotiations between Asante Kotoko and the player.

The 23-year old former Phobian player will finalize the deal with the Dawu based club before the transfer window closes.

Esso was released by Hearts of Oak a few weeks ago after an unsuccessful negotiation for extension of the contract. The news of his release was a shock to some players and the majority of Hearts supporters.

Esso’s move to Dreams FC looks surprising because of an initial link to Asante Kotoko after his exit from Hearts of Oak.

Esso was a key member of the Black Stars team B that won silver at the 2019 WAFU tournament in Senegal. He also scored three (3) goals in fourteen (14) games for Hearts of Oak in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League including the famous equalizer against rivals Asante Kotoko in Accra. The league was however canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
